Letter to Birthparents

Birthparents,

We feel like we have a lot in common with you. Right now, you are making one of the biggest and most important decisions of your life. You are probably feeling apprehensive and scared about how difficult this decision and process will be - and like us, you are probably feeling like you are in unfamiliar territory with how this all works. We feel that way too.

We are so grateful that you are considering placing your child for adoption, and humbled that you are taking the time to view our profile and read this letter. We feel that even though we don't know you yet, there is a bond between us as we both think and pray about what is best for a child that will impact both of our lives. We hope that you don't feel alone - because really, you are anything but alone. We have been praying for you to find us.

Of course we are hoping to be selected for adoption - but we are confident that the child that was intended to be a part of our family will find his or her way to our home. We hope that journey will be one that is accompanied by prayer and faith - and that our family and yours can forever look back on this experience and smile, knowing that this decision was the right one. Please think of us as you consider your child, and if you feel good about us, please contact us. The day you contact us will be a very happy day!

We love you for having the strength to approach this difficult choice with perspective, trust, and maturity.

Thank you.

Love,

Derek and Danielle
